Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV offers online science classes with actual labs (not virtual) in Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, General Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Natural Science, and Physical Science.
Students may enroll in only the three-semester credit lecture course, or in the four-semester credit lecture and lab courses. Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV's online science lab classes are NOT SELF-PACED; however, they are asynchronous and do not require specific class meeting times. You will complete your coursework to meet the scheduled deadlines, likely weekly. Course lectures, notes, and other materials and assignments will be in Blackboard, Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV's Learning Management System. You may use additional homework software for your classes, and you will be required to purchase or lease a lab kit from the to complete the lab requirements of your course.
You may enroll with Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV as a non-degree seeking student in order to take the online science classes.
AFFORDABLE
Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV's online tuition and fees for 2025-2026 is $347.38 per credit, regardless of residency, with a cap at 12 credits enrolled charged for tuition. Books, lab kits, and materials are additional. Non-degree-seeking students are not eligible for federal financial aid. Tuition subject to change without notice.Â
ACCREDITATION
Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV is part of the North Dakota University System, and Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV is one of North Dakota's original colleges since its establishment was provided in the state constitution of 1889. For more than a century, Mayville State has been training teachers while maintaining the highest standards.
REGISTRATION
To apply as a non-degree seeking student with Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV, complete the application for admission. If you are enrolling as a non-degree seeking student, you do not need to submit transcripts from schools previously attended. Please review the course descriptions and syllabi listed above to ensure you have the pre-requisite knowledge needed for these courses.Â
Non-degree students do not intend to earn a degree from Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV, but would like to enroll in a course or courses for transfer, personal enrichment, or additional certification or professional knowledge. Non-degree students are not eligible for federal financial aid programs but may be eligible for private or alternative loans. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
