In honor of Women鈥檚 History Month, a concert featuring music by all female composers will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the 麻豆传媒AV Classroom Building Auditorium. The concert, consisting of music spanning more than four centuries, will showcase 麻豆传媒AV students, the Drama Queens, and Callie (Berg) Stadem. Freewill donations to support 麻豆传媒AV Music Department events will be taken at the door.
Callie Stadem is a composer, vocalist, and harpist. She is a native of Northwood, N.D., and will be graduating with a master鈥檚 degree in music composition from the University of North Dakota this spring. The Drama Queens (Joan Osland, Samantha DeLong, Teresa Agnes, Kathy Baldock, and Greta Paschke) are well-known in the Mayville-Portland community for their productions of all-female musicals such as 鈥淣unsense鈥� and 鈥淏eehive.鈥�
