The Comet Athletic Club is sponsoring its seventh annual Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle to raise scholarships for the student athletes of 麻豆传媒AV. A total of 60 guns will be raffled at an event planned for Saturday evening, September 7, 2013. Ticket holders will have a one-in-ten chance of winning a gun, and need not be present to win. Raffle tickets are on sale now for $100 each.
The $100 ticket buys a chance to win a gun and admission to the raffle event that will be held at the Mayville (N.D.) Armory on September 7. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the 60-gun giveaway will begin at 7:00 p.m. The evening will include door prizes, cash bar, and many side raffles.
鈥淭his year鈥檚 raffle event will feature a fabulous sound and light show by HB Sound & Light,鈥� said Harlan Johnson, Comet Athletic Club volunteer and organizer of the annual Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle. 鈥淭he music, sound effects, photos, and video clips will definitely add to the festive atmosphere of the evening. You won鈥檛 want to miss out on this event and your opportunity to win!鈥�
Another highlight of the evening will be the special auction of a Kimber 84L 270 with Leupold scope. Only those present at the raffle event will be able to participate in this auction. In addition, Hunter Equipment of Hunter, N.D. has for the third year donated a John Deere gun safe that will be among the many side raffle prizes available this year.
In conjunction with the Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle, the Comet Athletic Club will be giving away a 2013 Polaris 500 Ranger in a raffle sponsored by Finley Motorsports of Finley and Mayville, N.D. Tickets for the chance to win the ATV are $20.00 each and are available where Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle tickets are sold. Five cash consolation prizes - $500, 2-$250, 5-$100 - will also be awarded in this raffle. Ticket holders need not be present to win. The drawing will be held at the Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle event on September 7听
