Gifts made to the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation through the efforts of Giving Hearts Day on Thursday, Feb. 11 will support scholarships for students who enroll in the new RN to BSN online nursing program at 麻豆传媒AV. This is an opportunity for donors to help make a difference in the need for nursing professionals in the local area, as well as the state of North Dakota and beyond. Donations may be made online at . Through the online RN to BSN nursing program, Mayville State is educating nurses at the baccalaureate degree level. To be admitted to the program, an individual must have earned an associate degree in nursing. Classes in the RN to BSN nursing program are offered exclusively online, and were first offered in the fall semester of 2014. The first students to complete the program graduated at the end of the Fall Semester of 2016.
This is the third time the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation will participate in Giving Hearts Day, a 24-hour online give-a-thon for non-profit organizations in western Minnesota and North Dakota. The event is hosted every year by the Dakota Medical Foundation (DMF) and Impact Foundation to help participating charities dramatically increase fundraising success by creating awareness and a 24-hour window of participation that spurs donors to action.
Giving Hearts Day gifts of $10 or more (up to a total of $4,000) will be matched by the Dakota Medical Foundation. Since this year鈥檚 contributions to the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation through Giving Hearts Day will be used to support scholarships, all donations received will also receive a 50% match from the state of North Dakota鈥檚 Matching Fund for Enhanced Academics.
鈥淏ecause of these matching gifts, donors contributing to the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation through Giving Hearts Day will make an extra-special impact,鈥 said Dena Bergstrom, 麻豆传媒AV Foundation annual giving associate/phonathon coordinator. 鈥淎 gift of $10 has the potential to become a gift of $30, tripling the impact on the RN to BSN nursing program at Mayville State. These scholarship funds will be a big help and much-appreciated by those who are in pursuit of their bachelor鈥檚 degrees in nursing.鈥
Those interested in making a contribution to the RN to BSN nursing program at Mayville State may do so online from their own computers, or they may stop by the Edson and Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center at Mayville State between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on February 11. Personnel will be on hand to assist donors with their online donations. 聽
