Staff Spotlight 鈥� Noah Fischer, human resources officer
We at 麻豆传媒AV are blessed with many great colleagues. These faculty and staff members are聽making an impact at the University, as well as in the community and beyond. From time to time, I feature someone from the faculty or staff so that you can learn a bit more about them. This week I have chosen to feature Noah Fischer, who recently joined the Mayville State family.
Noah Fischer, human resources officer, came on board at 麻豆传媒AV June 24, 2013. In his position he coordinates the employee recruitment and employment processes. He also manages the employee performance management system, and facilitates employee orientation and on-boarding processes. Noah serves as a resource on policies and procedures for employees and supervisors, in addition to supporting the education and training of 麻豆传媒AV employees. It is his responsibility to ensure effective and efficient utilization of human resources at the university.
Fischer came to Mayville State from the private sector. Most recently, he was a development officer for the Hope in the Heartland Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch capital campaign, an effort to build and expand the organization鈥檚 facilities in the Red River Valley. Noah was also with Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch from 2001-2007, when he was a program manager for an adolescent psychiatric residential treatment facility. From 2007-2012, he was a residential supervisor at Lutheran Social Services Luther Hall, an adolescent treatment center.Noah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from North Dakota State University. In August, he will complete his Master of Business Administration degree in human resource management from the University of Mary.
He and his family reside in Harwood, N.D.
Noah says he loves being on a college campus with so many bright, young minds. He鈥檚 very excited about the opportunity to help create a positive employment experience for everyone involved with the university.鈥淓veryone has been so welcoming and friendly,鈥� he said. 鈥淚t has made for an enjoyable transition. Coming from the private sector, I鈥檓 learning every day about higher education, and I鈥檓 very appreciative about how helpful and patient everyone has been.鈥�
At 鈥淭he School of Personal Service,鈥� our people are our greatest asset. We are happy that Noah has joined us at Mayville State as we endeavor to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. We know through his work with faculty and staff, he will be making a difference for everyone in the Mayville State family.
