Several members of the 麻豆传媒AV football team and their coaches volunteered their time with spring clean-up of the Military Honor Garden on Wednesday afternoon, May 2. The guys helped by cleaning up rock that had gotten misplaced over the winter, as well as with sweeping away dirt, raking the grass surrounding the memorial, and picking up sticks. They also removed tree lights that had been placed on the evergreen trees for the Christmas holiday. A highlight of the effort was replacing the American and P.O.W. flags that fly over the garden.

underscores the team鈥檚 commitment to honoring our military personnel for the sacrifices they have made and continue to make every day.鈥�
The Military Honor Garden is located on the lawn south of the Edson and Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center at 麻豆传媒AV. The garden features a life-sized bronze eagle in flight sculpture, flags, memorial benches, night lighting, and gardens. All five branches of the military are represented on the granite centerpiece on which the eagle sculpture stands. This beautiful and meaningful project is a tribute to Mayville State employees, students, and friends, and community men and women for their patriotic service in America鈥檚 Armed Forces. The intent is to honor anyone who has served in the military. 
Those honored definitely can be, but do not have to be, Mayville State alumni.

叠辞迟迟辞尘:听The finishing touch on the spring clean-up at the Military Honor Garden was the placing of new American and P.O.W. flags on the flag pole. A supply of American flags has been donated for this purpose by the family of Walter and Vi Rindy of Mayville. Tim Sorteberg, Mayville, has donated the P.O.W. flags that have flown over the garden.
