Scholarships will be awarded to graduates of May-Port CG High School who will be incoming freshmen at Mayville State. The first award will be made to a student who will enter Mayville State as a freshman in the fall of 2017.

The Mayville American Legion Leon M. Mosher Post #8 Scholarship was established with a $2,000 gift to the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation, which will be matched by the North Dakota Matching Fund for Enhanced Academics. A $750 award will be made annually for four years. Preference will be given to a veteran, and then to a son or daughter or grandchild of a veteran.

鈥淲e are delighted that the American Legion post has chosen to establish this scholarship that will benefit veterans and/or their descendants. The thoughtfulness and generosity of these veterans is very much appreciated,鈥 said John J. Klocke, 麻豆传媒AV Foundation Executive Director. 鈥淲e are doubly-pleased to know that the group has done this at a time when the state of North Dakota will match the gift at a rate of 50%.鈥

Gifts to the scholarship fund at 麻豆传媒AV will be matched through the North Dakota Matching Fund for Enhanced Academics through December 31 of 2016. The program, provided by the 64th North Dakota Legislative Assembly, is intended to spur philanthropic giving to North Dakota state universities and enhance academic excellence.
