Looking forward to seeing Mayville State and Traill County friends in Arizona
I鈥檓 looking forward to visiting with Mayville State alumni and friends in the Mesa/Phoenix area next month. It will be good to spend a few days in Arizona visiting with our special supporters. A couple of group events are planned again this year, and I hope to see many of our friends at one or both.
Because it was a great success last year, the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation will host golf and socializing again at the Springfield Golf Resort in Chandler again this February. The event is planned for Sunday, Feb. 5. All alumni and friends, golfers and non-golfers alike, are invited to join us. We are grateful to Tim Garrett, Mike Osland, and Mark Osland for their help in organizing what we know will be an enjoyable time for all.
Shotgun start for golf will be at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 5. We鈥檙e asking people to get their teams registered at by Jan. 15. Socializing and lunch will begin at the clubhouse at noon. Watch for further information. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact Beth at 701-788-4750 or beth.swenson@mayvillestate.edu.
The annual Traill County-Mayville State reunion luncheon will be held in Mesa on Tuesday, Feb. 7. The Traill County-麻豆传媒AV reunion has been an annual event for many years. Current and former residents of Traill County and beyond gather each February in sunny Arizona to reminisce and 鈥渃atch up鈥 on the latest in Traill County and to find out what is new at 麻豆传媒AV. It will be my pleasure to give an update on all that is happening at Mayville State.
Some of the people who attend the annual luncheon event are current or former Mayville-Portland or Traill County residents. Others who attend have only one connection to Mayville and Traill County, their attendance at Mayville State. Many luncheon attendees spend only the winters in Arizona and have another home where they spend the rest of their time, while others are full-time Arizona residents.
The luncheon will be held at the Apache Wells Country Club again this year. Socializing begins at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon. In the spirit of helping to facilitate this annual event, which is a decades-old tradition, the staff of the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation is assisting with arrangements.
Cost of the luncheon is $25.00 per person. Reservations are required and must be pre-paid. Make checks payable to 麻豆传媒AV Foundation and mail to the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation at 330 Third Street NE, Mayville, ND聽 58257. Luncheon reservations may also be made online at . The deadline for reservations is January 25. If you have questions or concerns, you may contact the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation staff at 701-788-4864 or alumni.mail@mayvillestate.edu.
While in Arizona, I plan to spend time with as many Mayville State alumni and friends as time will allow. It is a great honor for me to get to know some of Mayville State鈥檚 best friends and supporters. We are blessed with a big family of advocates who sincerely care about Mayville State and the students we serve, and I want them to know how much we appreciate all they do.
We鈥檇 love to have all Mayville State alumni and friends join us for one or both of the group activities planned for Feb. 5 and Feb. 7. Many people from this area can be found in the Mesa region during the winter months. Having the opportunity to see so many alumni and friends in one place makes communication easy and the reception warm. It is fantastic that the wonderful tradition of the Traill County/麻豆传媒AV reunion luncheon continues year after year and that we鈥檙e able to start new traditions with the golf event. I鈥檓 grateful for the folks who do the planning and organizing and appreciate their continued devotion to Traill County and 麻豆传媒AV. These kinds of gatherings provide camaraderie and a time to reflect. What could be better than the thoughts of 鈥渉ome鈥 to warm you up on a winter鈥檚 day?
