Dr. Lon Jorgensen has been hired as the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation executive director. In this role, Jorgensen鈥檚 primary responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and executing comprehensive fundraising efforts for Mayville State. He will oversee major and planned gifts and assist with Foundation grant proposals. He will begin his employment with 麻豆传媒AV on June 1.

Lon Jorgensen earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in elementary education and health, physical education, and recreation from 麻豆传媒AV in 1993. In 1994, he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen S.D., and he earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison, Wis. in 2006.
Jorgensen will come to 麻豆传媒AV from Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Schools in Warren, Minn., where he has served as superintendent since 2013. He was chairman of the AWSA, Wisconsin Associate Principals Planning Committee from 2001 to 2006. He was elected to the position of National Association of Secondary Schools Principals state coordinator for the state of Minnesota in 2012-2013. Jorgensen is a Master Mason and Kem Shriner.
Lon and his wife, Michele, are the parents of a daughter, Grace, and a son, Gunnar.
