With their financial support, Gate City Bank has stepped up to become the signature sponsor of 麻豆传媒AV鈥檚 Glitz & Glam Gala. The Glitz & Glam Gala is designed to take guests on an entertaining journey for a good cause. This year鈥檚 theme is a night in New York. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 and will be held at the Mayville State Campus Center.
鈥淲e are delighted to have our friends at Gate City Bank join us as signature sponsors of the first-ever Glitz & Glam Gala,鈥� said 麻豆传媒AV Foundation Executive Director John Klocke. 鈥淲e are working hard to assure that our guests will have a wonderful and memorable New York-style experience, and Gate City鈥檚 contribution will have a big impact in our goal to make that happen.鈥�
The evening will begin with a social on the streets of New York City and will include photo ops, games of chance, street food appetizers, and entertainment of all kinds. A New York-themed sit-down dinner of prime rib will be served in the 麻豆传媒AV Campus Center Luckasen Room. Guests will enjoy the awarding of cash door prizes, student testimonials, Park Avenue luxury bingo, and games of Brooklyn or Bronx.
The evening will feature a live auction of several wonderful auction items, including a trip to New York City, where the purchaser can see a Broadway show and enjoy all that the city has to offer. Many more fabulous auction items are being sponsored by local and regional businesses and individuals.
The afterglow of the adventure will begin at around 8:30 p.m., when guests can snack on New York-style pizza, enjoy music, socialize with friends, and experience the unveiling of the location for Glitz & Glam 2020. DJ Lute Simley will provide music and guests may choose to visit and enjoy the music or dance the night away.
Tickets for the Glitz & Glam Gala sell for $75 each, and tables of eight are available. Ticket price includes dinner, bingo playing cards, and your name entered in drawings for cash and prizes. All proceeds from this event will benefit Comet Athletics, the 麻豆传媒AV Alumni Association, and the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation, assisting these groups as they work to support 麻豆传媒AV and its students.
