The Comet Athletic Club is sponsoring its 19th annual Sportsmen鈥檚 Raffle to raise academic scholarships for the student athletes of 麻豆传媒AV. A total of 50 guns will be raffled at an event planned for Saturday evening, Sept. 13, 2025. Ticket holders will have a one-in-ten chance of winning a gun and need not be present to win. The $100 ticket buys a chance to win a gun and admission to the raffle event that will be held at the Mayville State Campus Center Luckasen Room on Sept. 13. Doors for the raffle event open at 5 p.m. Food will be served and a cash bar will be available. The 50-gun giveaway will begin at 7 p.m.
Raffle tickets for the 50-gun giveaway are available at the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation office, from Comet Athletic Club board members, and at the following area businesses: Top Hat Lounge - Mayville, Hardware Hank - Mayville, H.E. Everson - Mayville, Floyd's Bar - Portland, and RDK Enterprises - Hillsboro. Tickets may also be purchased from Comet Athletic Club board members Mike Carr, Lon Jorgensen, Brian Halvorson, and Brian Aune.
Earlier in the day on Sept. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m., there will be a football watch party held in the 麻豆传媒AV Campus Center Luckasen Room. All are invited to watch the Mayville State Comets play at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
