For the third year in a row, Agassiz Drain Tile of Buxton, N.D. has stepped up to sponsor 麻豆传媒AV鈥檚 Farmers Bowl. In 2012, Agassiz became the first-ever sponsor of the event. 聽Because of Agassiz Drain Tile鈥檚 monetary contribution, the Farmers Bowl festivities have generated greater support for 麻豆传媒AV and its students, giving more students the opportunity to benefit from a Mayville State education.
鈥淭he support of Agassiz Drain Tile during the last two years definitely contributed to the record-breaking success of Farmers Bowl,鈥� said Mayville State Executive Foundation Director John Klocke. 鈥淲e鈥檙e truly grateful to Agassiz Drain Tile for their generosity.鈥�
With the addition of a reverse auction and Agassiz Drain Tile鈥檚 sponsorship contributions, Farmers Bowl activities generated a record of nearly $63,000 in 2012, and that was topped with $67,000 taken in in 2013. 聽

Agassiz Drain Tile specializes in large and small pattern tiling systems that are designed to remove excess water and maximize crop yield. The 麻豆传媒AV Foundation coordinates the Farmers Bowl festivities annually. The day-long festival celebrates the proud agricultural heritage of the area. Many community volunteers and 麻豆传媒AV supporters work together to make sure this event is successful year after year. Farmers Bowl 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, November 1. The day will begin with the Farmers Bowl tag team race, which is on a one-mile course around the campus of Mayville State. Each runner will complete one mile, then tag their partner who runs the last mile to finish the race. Runners are encouraged to come dressed up. A special award will be awarded to the tag team dressed up as the 鈥渃raziest Comets.鈥� There are male, female, and co-ed divisions. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. in front of Mayville State鈥檚 Old Main. Proceeds of this event will benefit the 麻豆传媒AV Wellness Center. The registration form is available at .
The public is invited to partake in a tailgate picnic that will be held just outside of Jerome Berg Field from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on November 1. The 麻豆传媒AV Comet Athletic Club will host this annual feed. Freewill donations will be accepted. The first 150 people to attend will get a free Farmers Bowl 2014 cap!
The 麻豆传媒AV Bookstore will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Titan Machinery will sponsor the Farmers Bowl football game, when the 麻豆传媒AV Comets take on Valley City State University. 聽Game time is 1:00 p.m. at Jerome Berg Field.
The Farmers Bowl auction will be held for the 18th time in 2014. In the first auction, held in 1997, more than $14,000 was raised. The total amount raised has grown steadily over the years. The proceeds of the auction are administered by the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation for the benefit of 麻豆传媒AV and its students.
The auction will be held in the 麻豆传媒AV Campus Center Luckasen Room. A silent auction will begin at 5:00 p.m., and an hors d鈥榦euvres buffet and cash bar will be available throughout the evening. The excitement of the live auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. The grand finale of the auction will be 鈥淭he BIG-10鈥� reverse auction, in which the goal will be to raise funding for ten $1,000-Honor Scholarships that can be awarded to incoming students. Tickets for the auction sell for $25.00 each and are available at the 麻豆传媒AV Foundation office, the 麻豆传媒AV Bookstore, and MayPort Hardware Hank. Tickets are also available online at .
